Playtime with Daddy

Mommy fits her playing in and around household chores, but Hazel gets Daddy's undivided attention after dinner until bedtime. Here she is playing blocks (built a bed for baby pumpkin bear), reading her current favorite book (teeny tiny firetruck Golden book), and wearing Daddy's glasses. She looks scarily like Mrs. Beasley from Family Affair, doesn't she? Or Ralphie from A Christmas Story? Not her best look. Note also the knee sneaking up onto the coffee table - she knows that's not allowed; it must be very hard to control the climbing urge at this age. A further note on blocks - she is so very careful when stacking them, showing such patience that she exhibits absolutely nowhere else in her life yet. What's magic about blocks?
