Kitchen play and adventures with Daddy
Hazel is still talking about Christmas. She wakes up singing Christmas songs, still wants to read her Christmas books, and in this picture, she's decorated her kitchen for Christmas with beads. I don't mind in the least; Christmas is certainly one of my favorite times of the year.
She says "beep, beep, beep" while operating her microwave.
She's always stealing my measuring cups. Good thing I've got two sets, as neither is ever complete, and she always says she needs another one.
This is her sauce pan, and she uses this for playing "sauce pan" game with Daddy. The game pretty much consists of her holding it on his nose and saying, "Daddy, can you smell anything?" Then she'll put it over his eye and ask him if he can see anything, etc... Daddy gets to play all the fun games!
One weekend morning is usually reserved for an adventure of some kind with Daddy - weather depending, this includes trips to bookstore story time, the drainage ponds to throw rocks, Cabela's to look at all the stuffed animals and live fish, the beach or a number of parks on a sunny day (including the chance to eat snacks in the pickup bed - makes them taste so much better!). So here's Hazel choosing the all important book to read in the car, and she's got several toys packed in her backpack, just in case she needs them wherever they go.

And I just wanted to include a picture of her first tattoo, which she received in a Valentine. Cousin Havah knew that Tinkerbell would be perfect for Hazel, and Hazel was very excited about it. It's always disappointing when the weekly stamps from gymnastics wear off by the next day - Tinkerbell's still very visible a week later!
