In Hazel's room
We finally moved Hazel to the bigger bedroom after Christmas, something I've wanted to do for two years, so many of her toys could move upstairs. Of course, we're now going to be packing it up and moving to some unknown new room, which she's determined to paint red and black and decorate as Lightning McQueen's garage. I'd like to remember it the way it is now, so let's take a tour.

Sorry, a little dark. It's got a fabulous windowsill.
That's right, she's got a queen size bed, because this was the guest room, and we have no place to store the guest bed. Her twin fits under this one nicely. Besides, when guests come, they get this bedroom and Hazel moves into the office and sleeps in a sleeping bag on the cot.
These are her best pals - Piggy, Hippo and Bear. Sorry, Bear, that Hippo's hogging the limelight. Can you guess which one's which?
After reading the safety instructions for the first time on the flight to Alaska, Hazel's play time turned tragic. She was a flight attendant on a plane that crashed into the ocean. She came and asked me how to launch the life rafts and then shepherded her passengers onto this raft until someone came to save them. Fortunately she doesn't realize how scary that would be.
Back to the tour. I love these Dora decals, and no, her clothes are not in the closet. It's still full of suitcases, Christmas wrapping, ten years of photographs (1994-2004), and winter clothes.
Can you spot the item for which we ate eight boxes of shredded mini-wheats? Hint: it's a night light.

Some of the McDonald's toys are hard to resist. These... well... kept her happy while on the AK trip, and there's something to be said for that. That's a nifty keen race car lamp in back. Oh, and she's crossing off the days until whatever holiday is next on her "advent" calendar. She thinks every square with printed notes is a holiday - I just keep explaining that we don't celebrate Passover, or a full moon, or Victoria Day in Canada.
