Tuesdays
Tuesdays with Hazel are my favorite days. We start with Messy Me art class, hit McDonald's for lunch, and then one town over for the best library story time. They've got a puppet, a learn-to-read game, at least four stories, lots of songs, two hand stamps, two handouts, and a craft every week! Plus, we can attend the nice uncrowded 1 pm event, instead of 10:30 am when there are 25-30 kids. This is also the library that had the stuffed animal overnight last fall, and they're having a superhero night this Friday. So glad someone's got a healthy budget! Here are some of Hazel's art projects from the last two months. This is a portrait of me as a clown.
This is Hazel as the sunshine with a sunset.
You can never have too many window clings. Maybe that's not art...
Shiny paint and glitter.
A bean-filled tamborine she was supposed to paint, but she prefers foam stickers when available. It was not very durable and was quickly smashed all around.
One of my favorite crafts. Unfortunately, all the beans fell out and are waiting for me to glue them back in... I might just pick one to fix. I love her patterns on the flower.
Tissue paper and glue water.
A recipe holder she decorated for me.
This was cool too. She made a pattern with glue, then we dyed salt and sprinkled it out of the shaker onto the glue. It made for some pretty color combinations.

I LOVE the fruit loop rainbow so much. You'll be so glad later that you have a photo of it (and kudos to you for not keeping it in the art box ;)).

Great job, Hazel!!!
Photos of art are just as good as the real thing! :-) Cute, cute! I esp. like the tissue paper scrap collages. The overlapping colors are so pretty!
